Last month we flew to Loma Linda, California to attend Christina and Jay's wedding.
This was my first time in California and it had been a while since Mark was last there. We spent most of the time visiting with friends and seeing a few things in and around Loma Linda.

On Thursday evening we arrived just in time for Mark to join Jay's bachelor party at Speed Zone (see Eric's pictures).
Mindy, Becky, and Janell picked me up from the airport for a girls' night out. We went to one of the outdoor malls and ate at the Cheesecake Factory.

Friday we ate breakfast at Mindy and Scott's place and went to Lake Arrowhead in the afternoon. We were back for dinner at Mindy and Scott's place.

Sabbath afternoon we went for a walk in the dry hills around Loma Linda and in the evening we had the rehearsal dinner for the wedding. Mindy is a resident at Loma Linda University Hospital and she gave a few of us a tour. We started at the top floor and worked our way down to the emergency room.

Sunday was the big day for Jay and Christina. The wedding began at 5 pm at the Benedict Castle. See Eric's and Todd's websites for some nice wedding pictures.

Monday was our last full day in California so we went towards Los Angeles to Venice Beach. If you are looking for a nice white beach with turquoise blue water you should come to Pensacola beach. The sand wasn't as white and the water as turquoise and warm but the beach walk was certainly more interesting. We found a vegan restaurant that had pretty good food and we saw a lot of interesting people. After Venice Beach we went to the Farmers Market and an outdoor mall called The Grove. For dinner we went to an Ethiopian restaurant.

For more pictures of the trip, see Todd's, Eric's, and Janell's blogs.
