Candelight concert at Schloss Charlottenburg
Saturday night, Kristin's parents treated us to a candlelight concert at Schloss Charlottenburg, which is called a castle in German but looks more like a palace to me.
Here's King Friedrich I, who built the palace:
There was another outdoor Christmas market just outside the palace courtyard, but we didn't have much time to look around.
The concert was in the Great Orangery (Grosse Orangerie) wing of the palace, which was very ornate:
The Berlin Palace Orchestra performed pieces from the classical and baroque eras wearing period costumes, complete with white wigs.
It was hard to take pictures during the concert, because it was dark and we were seated far away and we weren't really allowed to take pictures. This is the best one I got:
The benevolent Queen Kristin and King Mark of Pettibonia enjoyed the concert very much.
