This palace was once one of the nicest Renaissance palaces in Europe. The WW II reconstruction is said to not even be close to the extravagant palace it once was under King Matthias. The big bird on the first picture is Turul. In the Hungarian folktales he dropped his sword in the Carpathian Basin to indicate this should be the permanent home of the Hungarian people.
The black raven is a symbol for King Matthias.
